Touring and freeride experience preferred.

This 3-Day Splitboarding Course is designed to get the most out of the conditions. Finding powder may consist here of riding off the lifts, hiking or splitboarding or possibly all three in the same day…If you have some freeride experience and want to take it further, get the most out of the terrain and learn something along the way then this is the course for you.

This course is for people who may have tried splitboarding or a splitboarding course before or those who have some touring experience.

If you don’t yet have your own stuff we can organise equipment for you to use* (board, bindings, poles and skins).

We aim to cover splitboarding, freeriding (powder hounding), technique and, of course, safety approach throughout the 3 days. This should be loads of fun and really useful to your riding as well!

On-hill video analysis using iPad and GoPro can help you develop your riding and get some good shots at the same time. We use the Coach’s Eye app for slow mos and highlights.

Taking place in Chamonix, Courmayeur or Les Contamines depending on wherever is best on the day, transport for up to 4 people included.

3-Day Splitboarding Course Outline Example:

  • Day 1: Freeride in Chamonix valley or touring depending on weather

e.g. A couple of short tours/freeriding at the back of Le Tour or Brevent.

  • Day 2: Short split mission(s) + freeride in Chamonix/Courmayeur/Contamines

e.g. Splitboarding to Col des Dards in the Aiguilles Rouges Nature Reserve. Freeriding at Flégère.

  • Day 3: Splitboard/Freeride day in Chamonix/Courmayeur/Contamines

e.g. Col de la Fenetre in Les Contamines/tree riding in Courmayeur.

Snowboarding is a weather dependent sport so, of course, this outline is subject to changes due to weather conditions, avalanche danger, fitness, group standard, etc.
